CKY is no longer signed with Volcom. They are persuing a new label and are rumored to be in negotiations with Island Records.

Jackass

A third installment to the CKY series is in the making. There is so much footage that the guys have decided to make it a 2 Video/DVD deal. The exact names have not been determined as of yet, but it will be distributed by Universal. Below, you'll find a preview of pictures from the upcoming video....and also from Bran's overactive imagination.
Plus there is a bidding war going on by Disney, Miramax, and Fine Line regarding a movie script penned by Bam Margera and Brandon DiCamillo. The numbers are alleged to be in the millions. The name of the movie is currently Your Life is Haggard and is about Ryan Dunn's (supposedly) pathetic life. Good luck Bam and Bran!

'Jackass' Frontman Gets Pilot
LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - Johnny Knoxville, star of MTV's new comedy series "Jackass," is getting a pilot deal for ABC. According to The Hollywood Reporter, former "Spin City" writers Jay Scherick and David Ronn are developing the show at Touchstone Television. So far the show is described as a comedic "Rockford Files."

MTV's "Jackass" and Knoxville have been receiving a lot of press since his show's debut several weeks ago. The series features stunts and practical jokes and has been compared to MTV's other high-profile comedy "The Tom Green Show."

Knoxville's real name is P.J. Clapp, and he takes his moniker from his hometown of South Knoxville, TN. In addition to the series and pilot, the 29-year-old Clapp is tackling films, having just completed filming of the Tim Allen-Rene Russo comedy "Big Trouble."

WEST CHESTER -- What started out as a stunt by six members of the cast of the MTV show "Jackass" ended up being a brush with the local law:

According to police officials, officers responded to a call in the 500 block of South Franklin Street, where, upon arrival they witnessed the individuals from the prankster show trespassing beyond a fenced-in area that had a"no trespassing" sign posted.
Police named the individuals as Philip Clapp of Los Angeles, who goes by the name Johnny Knoxville on the show, Michael Ballard of Manhattan Beach, Calif., Jeffrey Tremaine of Hollywood, Erik Hedgegaard of Pelham Manor, N.Y., Brandon Margera of West Chester, and Brandon DiCamillo of West Chester.
The group was apparently trying to jump a bicycle over a creek on the property, police said.
DiCamillo and Margera were issued citations and released at the scene.
The other four individuals were taken by police to District Court in West Chester where they were arraigned before Justice Mark A. Bruno. They pleaded guilty and paid fines of $200 each, plus court costs.
Margera and DiCamillo will have 10 days to submit a guilty or not guilty plea to Bruno.
Clapp, Ballard, Tremaine and Hedgegaard didn't let a citation or significant fine deter their rambunctious attitudes as they left the court. They joked about the experience as an MTV camera rolled, and offered fictitious names when asked who they should be quoted as.
"Jackass," which airs on Sunday nights at 9, features a group of 20-somethings, led by renegade prankster Knoxville, performing outrageously creative stunts designed to leave viewers scratching their heads and asking the person next to them if they just saw that.
The show has a strong West Chester flavor, with segments being filmed at West Chester University, the West Goshen Shopping Center and Westtown Shopping Center.
Margera and DiCamillo are part of a group of local youths involved with the production of the show.
A call seeking comment from MTV officals was not returned.

TV Made Me Do It:
When Johnny Knoxville, star of MTV's gross-out stunt show Jackass, says, "Don't try this at home," not everybody hears the word "don't."
Inspired by Knoxville, a 13-year-old boy in Connecticut recently suffered critical burns when a friend doused his pants and shoes with gasoline and lit a match, according to police.
One on Jackass episode, Knoxville had become a human barbecue, lying on a hot grill with meat strapped to his body. Knoxville wore a flame-resistant suit. The boy did not.
Another recent life-imitates-TV incident involved the Word Wrestling Federation. A 14-year-old boy in Florida was convicted of murder for imitating pro wrestling moves on a 6-year-old girl, killing her.
MTV and the WWF are washing their hands of responsibility. MTV says Jackass has plenty of disclaimers. The WWF says linking the death to wrestling was a "contrived hoax."
Senator Joe Lieberman (D-Conn), jumping into the fray, says, "There are some things that are so potentially dangerous and inciting, particularly to vulnerable children, that they simply should not be put on TV."
But more people are tuning out Lieberman and tuning in Knoxville.

I received word that the script Bam is in negotiations to sell is Your Life is Pathetic which was mentioned in the 2/1/01 Rolling Stone article. It was written by Bam and Brandon DiCamillo and is based on Ryan Dunn's life. Good luck guys!

I heard today that there is going to be a video released soon full of "Jackass" out takes and bloopers

Ice Cube rides with Knoxville for 'Big Ticket'
LOS ANGELES (The Hollywood Reporter) --- Rapper-actor Ice Cube and MTV's "Jackass" star Johnny Knoxville are in negotiations to topline the buddy picture "Big Ticket" for DreamWorks Pictures. Shooting is scheduled to start next year, sources said.
If a deal is finalized for Ice Cube to star, the project would reteam him with Michael De Luca, the former New Line executive and recently named head of production at DreamWorks, where he was hired to boost the company's production slate with the help of his strong talent relationships. Ice Cube, whose production company Cube Vision is based at New Line, has worked with De Luca on such features as the "Friday" franchise, as well as 1998's "The Players Club," which marked Ice Cube's directorial debut.
"Ticket" is a docudrama-style, real-time action film about a prison escapee (Ice Cube) who takes hostage a business executive (Knoxville) obsessed with car chases. The pair end up on a high-speed chase with police around Los Angeles as the situation spins out of control.
Jim Herzfeld ("Meet the Parents") wrote the script for "Ticket." DreamWorks executive Mark Haimes will oversee the project for the studio. Producer credits have yet to be negotiated, and a director is expected to come aboard the project shortly, sources said.
Ice Cube, repped by CAA and the Firm, next stars in New Line's "All About the Benjamins" and Screen Gems' "Ghost of Mars."
Knoxville, also repped by CAA, is in front of cameras for director Barry Sonnenfeld on "Men in Black 2," which is being produced by DreamWorks co-heads Walter Parkes and Laurie MacDonald. He is the star and co-creator of MTV's daredevil reality series "Jackass." Knoxville's upcoming feature credits include Disney's "Big Trouble" and the feature "Life Without Dick," recently sold to Encore (HR 7/3).
